Supportive Services

Case Management: Case managers link the people/families we serve with vital resources, helping them identify needed services and programs, determine eligibility, and develop an appropriate service plan.

The case manager actively advocates for the client to ensure accessibility of services . The case manager also assists participants with accessing other services available at Catalyst, such as food, housing, transportation, pet food, HIV testing and counseling, and support groups.

For those who qualify we offer the following :

Food Program

Each year our food delivery programs provides nutritionally sound, frozen meals and bags of non-prepared food to our participants and their families, including those with dependent children.

Housing

We provide residential financial assistance (rent/mortgage move-in and catch up grants) for eligible participants and their families; we also help them obtain emergency/transitional housing and affordable permanent housing.

Transportation

Metro link, bus (local and Los Angeles area) and taxi service to obtain necessary medical care, mental health services, and nutritional support is provided for those who qualify.

Support Groups

A support group for those with HIV/AIDS meets weekly. A PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) group meets weekly.

Financial Literacy/Asset Building

Financial education classes in collaboration with California Bank and Trust, and free tax preparation through our Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) Program (during tax season).
