BSCC Supportive Services Re-Entry Program

The Catalyst Foundation’s BSCC Supportive Services Reentry Program (SSRP) seeks to reduce recidivism by connecting individuals that have been incarcerated in the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), with an emphasis on those currently on parole (please note: individuals DO NOT have to be on parole to qualify), to high-quality case management services.  Our SSRP Case Manager will support these individuals by determining their needs and making connections to relevant organizations and services including, but not limited to: stabilizing needs (Examples - identification documents, cell phone, food, housing support), Enrollment in social services (Examples – Medi-Cal, Cal Fresh, GR, SSI/SSDI), Physical and Mental Health (Examples – linkage to primary care physicians and/or mental health treatment), Employment & Education (Examples – job prep/job search, enrollment in high school/GED classes, and college/trade schools), Cognitive-behavioral interventions (Examples – linkage to substance use disorder treatment, Anger management classes, Trauma-informed programs, Domestic violence classes, parenting classes, NA/AA, Spiritual support), and Mentoring.

(The Catalyst Foundation employs several staff members who are formerly incarcerated, some having served extended sentences, who have successfully navigated parole and are thriving post-incarceration.  These staff members give of themselves to assist other formerly incarcerated individuals in making positive change).
