The Catalyst Foundation offers transportation through The International Institute of Los Angeles-Metro’s Low-Income Fare is Easy (LIFE) program, which provides transportation assistance to low-income individuals in Los Angeles County. The LIFE program offers fare subsidies that may be applied toward the purchase of Metro or any LIFE participating transit agencies or free regional ride options. The LIFE program provides the option for a fare subsidy up to $24 or the option to receive 20 free regional rides each month. The LIFE program also offers LIFE Limited rides to residents who do not have access to transportation to meet their basic medical, shelter/housing and job search needs. Individuals may qualify for LIFE Limited subsidies including 4-regional ride trip tickets, $11 Taxi Coupons, and Taxi Variable Vouchers for eligible rides. Enrollment in the LIFE Limited Program will be at the discretion of the agency based on urgency, eligibility and availability.
